Hi, I’m Chelci — a mom of seven, a full-time professional, and the owner of two businesses. If that sounds like a lot, it’s because it is. Every day is a balancing act, a marathon, and sometimes, a little chaotic. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
But let me be honest: it’s not always Instagram-perfect. Some days I forget to get dressed. Some days the laundry sits (for way too long). Some nights I lie awake wondering if I’m doing enough. If you’ve ever felt the same — welcome. You’re not alone.
The Real Truth About Being a Mom
Motherhood is beautiful. It’s also exhausting. No matter how many kids you have, whether you work outside the home or not, whether you’re parenting solo or with a partner — being a mom is hard. And rewarding. And overwhelming. And inspiring. Sometimes all in the same five minutes.
There’s this idea floating around that we should be doing it all — with a smile, a spotless house, and kids dressed like they’re going to a magazine shoot. But most days, I’m just proud we all made it out the door.
Why I’m Writing This
When I bought Main Street Kids, it wasn’t just about clothing and toys. It was about creating a space for families. A space where moms could come, feel seen, feel supported, and maybe even get a little help. That’s what this blog is all about.
We need each other — not just for playdate swaps and carpooling, but for sharing real-life experiences. For knowing we’re not alone in the moments we feel like we’re the only ones who are struggling.
Let’s Build a Village — Together
This blog isn’t just mine. It’s yours too. I want it to be a place where moms can ask questions, share their struggles, post about the small wins and the big meltdowns. The truth is, if you’re struggling with something, chances are another mom is too — or has been and can help.
Want to share your story? Want to ask “Is this normal?” and not feel judged? Want to vent about how picky your toddler is or how hard it is to work from home with a newborn on your lap? Please do. This is the space.

You Are Doing a Great Job
I know you doubt it sometimes. We all do. But let me say this clearly: if you’re trying, if you’re showing up, if you love your kids — you’re doing a great job. Perfection is a myth. Love, effort, and patience (even when you have none left) — that’s what matters.
Some days, we’ll laugh. Some days, we’ll cry. But every day, I want you to know that you’re part of something bigger than just the never-ending to-do list.
Let’s Talk, Share, and Support Each Other
So comment. Share your story. Ask your questions. Let’s take the pressure off and bring the village back. Because moms supporting moms? That’s the kind of world I want to live in.
You are not alone — and you never have to be again.
With love and solidarity,
Chelci
